Coach's Report to Letterman Association

Postby Water Pony » Thu Jan 26, 2006 6:27 pm

• Coach Bennett focused on the prior football season and began with the areas in which he thought the team could improve in. Baylor, East Carolina, Tulsa, and Marshall were games that he felt we could have won had we performed just a little better. One of the most important things to Coach Bennett is to begin next season with success and carry over the momentum gained at the end of last year. He feels that we are a much stronger and more athletic team that will move forward this upcoming season. In addition, Coach Bennett gave a brief description of key players, their potential, and what they would offer the team in 2006. He also said that he is excited about the 17 freshmen that redshirted last fall that will play this year. Recruiting is going well and he expects to sign close to 20 players.

I agree!

We should have won those four games, been 9-2 and gone to a bowl.

If we had a little tougher and higher ranked non-conference schedule we would be borderline BCS.

Hopefully next year!
