I wanted Copeland to move on, but not because of medical problems. I wish him a speedy recovery. I hope we get someone in here sooner rather than later, without an AD with any real authority we're just stuck in neutral.

Best wishes for a speedy recovery. Hope it's not too serious.

I hope the kidney thing is easy on Jim. He is looking at two hard replacements down the line. Jim's also needs a hip and a knee and needs to get then replaced before atrophy sets into the surrounding muscles.
Thanks Jim and get well soon.

I wish Jim a speedy recovery and good health in the future.
Also, a DMN comment "there are numerous facility upgrades that are in the preliminary stages" is interesting.
We already know about soccer but is a Moody Coliseum renovation/replacement getting closer too?
A new aquatic center?

As has been mentioned here before, there are designs for a practice/lockerroom/office facility just behind Moody with a tunnel to the floor. There is an established committee to raise money for the facility, which includes a number of former players. But I believe they have to raise 50% before any architectural and structural engineering drawings can be done, and I think (but can't remember for sure) 90% before any groundbreaking can occur.

Maybe being the SMU AD is even harder on a man than being the football coach. If anyone doubted that he was retiring for health reasons, it is a shame that his leaving really is for medical reasons. Here's to his better health and better days ahead for all at SMU.
