My favorite part:
Texans scouts observing the Wonderlic test said Young obviously struggled throughout, often fixating on his primary answer, "A," and never checking down to the other options on any given question unless pressured, when he would almost always throw it up to "all of the above." Moreover, Young's awkward mechanics during the exam drew criticism from onlookers, as he instinctually reverted to a sidearm-style delivery that often resulted in the incomplete filling-in of circles.

2112 I agree!

Like we don't get enough of it day after day after day after day in the Dallas Morning News!

2112 do ya notice when the Horns win it's all over the front of the DMN Sports section but like when the Longhorns men's basketball team got their HIDES TANNED in Stillwater a couple of weeks ago the Dallas Morning News buries the story of a UT loss back on page 9!

Come on, folks -- LF is a good contributor to the site. Sure, he likes his Horns, but even I (as an ardent UT-basher) can forgive that. He seems fairly genuine in his claims that he supports SMU as his secondary school. He's a lot better than some of the Frogs and Greenpeople we get around here, and more supportive of the Ponies than even some of our own. Besides, it seems to me half of the UT stuff he posts is merely in jest over the fervent Horn-bashing many of us do (and I'm the first to admit guilt in that area....)
Don't get bashful, 68.

Here here ponyup. LH fan is a good addition to have here on ponyfans and he's generally more courtious compared to some others on this board (see below post).

If chief longhair get's offended by any comments about the horns, he should keep it to himself, or go to his favorite team's board. He his a self proclaimed horn fan, doing splits a and cheers on the Mustang board?

I should really stop reading your posts because they never make any sense.

Thanks to those who understand my intent with these posts and realize that I'm here to keep it light. I love me some SMU, but I am a Longhorn grad and they are my first love.

Vince young, if drafted as a quarterback and positioned there, will be as big a bust as Ryan Leaf. I feel bad for whatever team gets him, as it will result in the firing of the GM, and coaches of that respective team.

If Matt Jones can be a first round draft pick and play wide receiver without a clue what he is doing, then Young should be all pro his rookie year. If Jones had a synapse between his ears he would electrocute himself. If doesn't take much original thought power to make it in the NFL. Young is an outstanding athlete and he will find a place to play (if he doesn't play QB). Keep in mind, other weak arm QBs have done well in the NFL. Jim McMahon comes to mind.

Weak arm? Wow. There's one I haven't heard before.

LF68 - ignore some of these guys who still have their SWC diapers in a wad; most of us welcome your presence on the board.

And the article is relevant since the topic has been discussed to death on this and every other school's message boards in the last week.
