An old UNT coach once said he would be willing to play SMU in the Safeway store parking lot.

Hence, the game has become known as the 'Safeway Bowl.'

Just because an old NTSU coach would like to play in a parking lot instead of at home (perfectly reasonable) why would we buy into this cr@p? NTSU is trying to be something they're not, relevant. I'm sure our coaches and players realize that this a bowl game for NTSU and will prepare accordingly. They seem to have some sort of fixation about SMU and don't realize they are just a filler in the schedule for us. I don't hate NTSU. That would be like hating something stuck to the bottom of your shoe. Scrape it off and don't ever think about it again. Thinking about the game, if NTSU has some early setbacks they'll cave. Revised prediction;

USA Today Poll has SMU ranked 78, up 27 spots from preseason. UNT is ranked 46, down 1 from preseason.

I think CBS' poll of the FBS 130 is a bit more accurate. This week has SMU at # 61 and UNT at # 63 which would indicate their "experts" figure this to be a hotly contested game and I agree.
