Re: The Crazy is strong at the Coogs...For the other players on the team this must seem like a real kick to the yarbles. It will take a genius of motivation to keep the rest of the team content. If it looks like a couple of rats are jumping the ship when it just left port the rest will want to follow.

Re: The Crazy is strong at the Coogs...I'm hoping that the Coogs don't take their anger out on us. I'd love to beat them and beat them bad this year.
UNC better keep that Ram away from Peruna
Re: The Crazy is strong at the Coogs...Anger? LOL ANGER?
Houston will be lucky to win 3 more games. I mean that - Lucky. Dana has confirmed it - F* 2019. They didn't start out the way they wanted, and as a result anybody with talent is getting redshirted. The Mullet want a Mulligan. Let me be clear: HOUSTON'S POLICY IS NOT TO WIN GAMES. IT IS, STARTING ONE THIRD OF THE WAY INTO THE SEASON, TO CONSERVE AS MUCH TALENT AS THEY CAN THIS YEAR. They have some sort of stratified way they are planning on playing their players so as to use as little talent up this year as possible. So King ain't playing anymore. Corbin, their best WR isn't playing anymore. I believe they are looking at redshirting Carr, one of their SR RB's and probably more. I mean, if this is the plan, to use this year as a rebuilding year, then they need to go all in, otherwise they are wasting it. Plus, since THEY ALREADY PLAYED FOUR GAMES WITH THEIR STARTERS/BEST PLAYERS, they have some hard decision that need to be made fast about who is being redshirted, 'cause those kids can't play anymore. So basically any senior who plays from here-on-out is considered expendable (or somehow managed to be one of the few redshirts). Even underclassmen who figure into the future need to be redshirted, else you are wasting the year. A sophomore starter who they have big plans for now needs to be pulled - otherwise you are throwing him under the bus, too. If UH wants to take advantage of this, then they need to take FULL advantage. So by the time they get to us a month from now this team should be unrecognizable. We'll see this weekend against UNT which players they play, and we'll find out on the first drive how much they have committed to this plan. If they actually do go all in, I believe more than half the starters could be pulled. Keep in mind something: They were 1-3 and lost to Tulane, so they were struggling to begin with, and now they are pulling starters? The only guaranteed win I see on this roster, and believe me it isn't by much, is UCONN. Memphis, Navy, UCF, Cincy, Tulsa, us, hell, even UNT should be licking their chops right now. I mean, maybe the backups are amazing, but we won't be getting their best players, the ones who struggled to put Prairie View away, so that's not exactly Alabama's backup. Welcome to 'cougin it, 2019 edition.
Re: The Crazy is strong at the Coogs...(Me praying): dear God, I don’t ask for much. You did bring me a super hot girlfriend thank you. One more prayer for 2019: can SMU run up 100 points against Cougar High this year. It’s ok if they score once. Thank you dear Lord.
Re: The Crazy is strong at the Coogs...
70 is hopefully as high as it will get, like a few years ago with nine turnovers. Army sure put it on a deflated UH team in the AF Bowl. These two are clearly not coming back. Hopefully Coach can keep it together and get a win at UNT this weekend.
Re: The Crazy is strong at the Coogs...
I haven’t forgotten the 95 Andre Ware put on us.
Re: The Crazy is strong at the Coogs...
Honest question: Who do you think pulled this? Was it Dana, or was it King? I believe it was King.
Re: The Crazy is strong at the Coogs...
The answer will be in where he ends up next year.. If he's still @ coog high - Dana If he's transferred out - King
Re: The Crazy is strong at the Coogs...I believe King did it and won’t be back.
Re: The Crazy is strong at the Coogs...The original story was that King was leaving. I think they essentially are now trying to cover that up (for recruiting purposes and team moral). Both of these players are transferring out - but will not announce until after the season.
I don't think that they are going to tank the rest of the season by benching players (other than the ones that they know are leaving). It's not like they get a higher draft pick if they lose more games - in fact, they get a lower pick as recruits will shy away from a 2-9 team. What's the coach's recruiting angle? "We were not trying to win games this year". That will go over well with recruits. But they will be far more beatable this year regardless - good for SMU - and that's all I care about. Re: The Crazy is strong at the Coogs...The Houston AD should not have allowed this until Holgorsen sat down with ear DJ of the other seniors and their parents and explained why he thought he was justified in sacrificing those guys' final seasons so that 2 other guys could win next year.
Should offer every other senior the same option, too.
Re: The Crazy is strong at the Coogs...Mean Green now 7 1/2 pt favorites. I still think U of H is a basically sound team. All depends on how players respond to this mess. I doubt if any of them truly believe the redshirters are coming back.
