New marketing ideaNow that the Cowboys have moved their game to the Ticket, SMU needs come up with the money to advertise DURING Cowboys games and Cowboys-related shows. The advertising rates no doubt are astronomical during the games, so unless the next Gerald Ford comes along to pay for that, then that probably won't happen. But there's no station in the world that pats itself on the back more than the Ticket, and if we can saturate the Cowboys-heavy market with a message that talks about SMU as Dallas's team, that's a lot of listeners who would hear it. Might be expensive, but I expect it would be worth it.
pony girl great idea.. and who knows maybe the ticket will give smu a little break in rates since they do the smu games also..
i am biased because i am in radio and advertising.. but advertising is always a great way to gain interest and buzz.. at the signing party i told shawn to think of the agency i am w/ if they ever do a mkting campaign and his first comment was "with what $$$" and we laughed.. again shows a what a great guy shawn is
