Sonny Dykes

If SMU beats Navy, Sonny Dykes will improve his record at SMU to 28-14, meaning he have won two-thirds of the SMU games he has coached (including the Frisco Bowl when he took the loss after Chad Morris left for Arkansas). His current winning percentage of 65.8 at SMU is the second-highest in program history.

We are so fortunate to have Sonny D, and here's hoping he will stay for a LONG time.

Absolutely.

My hope that Sonny believes his legacy and future success can all be accomplished on the Hilltop. We are not naive; he will be in demand from P5 schools. But, SMU could his Northwestern and TCU success story, where a long term relationship means more than pursuing bigger brands, where you have a bigger target on your chest. We all know that patience in big schools will be in short supply.

Good point, to that end, the Madison "Matty" Bell tenures as well.

You got the point across. That is all you needed to do.

I hope Mrs. Dykes likes it here. I hope the Dykes kids like it here.

He has tons of money in the bank from Cal. And once you eat lobster everyday... how much more do you want. I think the answer to that is an ego thing.

I like Dykes. Always have.

The next time we have an 11 AM game, we should sell Mimosas and call it Sonny D.
