Our family moved to Dallas in 1959 and we were among the early members of Brookhaven when Dedman started ClubCorp. Pretty sure Brookhaven was the charter member. Was a great place to learn the game of golf and their multiple pools was great for kids. I would have liked to play in this event and would have if I still lived in Dallas. Hope it was well attended and a huge success.

Back in the 60's and 70's my wife's family were members. C-800 the eighth C' family to join. FYI the number does not work anymore... we tried.

Great fun place and Dedman knew how to get people to have fun.

Now we live at Country Place right up the street.

We were F-89. Always remember being able to order a burger and brown cow for lunch by just giving them that number. Was I a privileged kid or what?

She grew up on Wonderland Trail. Me in Lake Highlands. Great memories of nicer times.

Mom still has her house off the President's course. Lots of memories of golf balls flying in the backyard, and guys trying to scale the fence to get errant shots...until they saw Chopper, the German Shepherd dog.


OK, that's not exactly true...the dog's name was Pepper....He was a poodle...but a MEAN poodle...
