Knowing us it’s probably 0. Smaller schools are in less of a bargaining position with a coaching hire to slap on a large buyout onto the contract

IIRC he was given a new contract a year or so ago. But you are probably right not because we are a 'smaller school' but due to the ineptness of our little rickey. Remember this is an AD who gave contract extensions to a losing bball coach.

Amazing that we have an admin that doesn't care about championship level sports and yet they expect Dallas fans to flock to Ford to see a team that consistently gets waxed by winning competitors

Disagree. Mustangs are 15-1 at Ford in the last three years.

and how many of those teams had winning records coming into that game? If you want Dallas fans to come to the games you need to A)have a champion level winning team and B) you need to play name teams of interest whose fans will also attend the games..

Not a real team of interest but that school in denton didn't even bring fans this year and their fans hardly had to travel.

I don’t blame Rick at all. Any decent coach who isn’t going to retire soon would balk at a contract with a buyout at a non P5 school

B.S.- IIRC Traylor just signed a nice contract with a reasonable buyout. I am sure there are many others that just aren't publicized. Does the coach at NT have/had a buyout? no idea but I would think so. And yes, those are not P5 schools.

Oh, and BTW our own bball coach had/has a buyout, which was the reason given why they would not replace him with a year or two ago with a winning competent coach.

Traylors buyout is only 7.5 million. That keeps him from getting canned but is chump change for a P5 school to pay if they him

think I missed your point. I read your comment to read ' would balk at contract with a buyout'. I guess I failed to see the max-min amounts you were referring to.
