Yeah, you shoulda seen it from mrydel's seats, it was awful.

Next year with my upgrade the closest SMU fan should be within 3 rows. (not including you sitting in one of my seats of course).

Who in the hell wants to spend a week end in Waco?

Try again.. GWB is in Crawford.. even he realizes Waco is an armpit

Hey Mick-
you're right, most Big XII teams looked at Baylor the same way as SMU- a guaranteed win in football. The sad fact is that SMU dropped track, but has men's soccer and swimming programs (and successful programs to boot) where as most Big XII squads don't carry men's soccer or swimming, but look to baseball and track as their major spring sports....However, most Big XII South folks I've talked to would love to have Arkansas back instead of Baylor.

But Okie State v SMU is a good matchup for SMU, as long as you don't have to go to Stillwater with that field that goes east-west into the sun...what idiot drew that up?

If Waco is the armpit, Crawford is the edge of the armpit and close enough to smell like it.

You think Oklahoma State was scheduled so we could all watch Rashaun Woods go nuts? The only way we schedule a team like that (see A&M) is for a guaranteed sell-out.

I sure wish we had kept OSU on the schedule instead or replacing them with the Aggies. OSU wasn't quite as good as the previous couple of years and a home game against them might have kept our momentum going, which we lost with the trip to College Station!

I'm sure SMU would love to strike up the rivalry with OSU as long as the Cowboys promised they wouldn't let anybody score 7 TD against us in the same game.

Seriously though, how the hell could we not have hurt Rashaun Woods after the third TD? Or at least after the fourth.

As I have heard, the original stadium was traditionally oriented. However, as the stadium was expanded it could only accomodate proper growth if the field was rotated. Perhaps this was due to roads, buildings, right of ways, etc..

There are several other E/W stadiums. Off the top of my head, I believe Wasington Univ and the stadium where the Cleveland Browns play have the same orientation as Boone Pickens Stadium.
