It is much easier for an OC transitioning to HC to learn to be less aggressive than trying to take a conservative-by-nature coach and push them to be more aggressive.
From his post-game interviews, he has a great grasp of analytics and the decisions involved and the risks he is taking.
What we are really going to find out is if he is a good enough leader to keep the team together after a rough patch. Do we get last year's team who beat up UCF after losing two straight close games, or the team that lost to Tulsa after losing 3 of 4 and not showing up against Cincy?
I'm looking forward to seeing how the team comes out this week; that will tell us a lot about how great the staff is.
