"A lot of sports publicity typically gets your name out there, and it leads to increased application numbers. You've got more alumni wearing UT shirts, and high school students see that."

In all seriousness, if SMU would pay a football coach $1M it would more than make up for the money in success, alumni donations, etc.

Everyone knows you have to spend money to make money.

Nothing against Bennett, but if SMU would pay a national name it would more than pay off in 3-4 years.
