L SMU @ Texas Tech
W SMU @ North Texas
W SMU vs. Sam Houston
W SMU vs. Arkansas State
W SMU @ Tulane
L SMU @ UTEP
W SMU vs. Marshall
W SMU @ East Carolina
L SMU vs. UAB
W SMU vs. Houston
W SMU @ Rice

Final Record 9-3 with a trip to the conference championship and a bowl.

Just curious... you say 9-3, but 2 of our losses are in conference. Now that means to make the conference championship, UTEP would have to lose at least 3 conference games (since they win the head to head with us). Who do you think will beat UTEP?

Take it easy on him guys. His signature says it all -- "Frosh 2005".

Yeah... uh, I was hoping nobody would notice that. Also that I left off Tulsa... who I think we will beat.

My actual honest to poop prediction is 7-5. I'd just like to dream about 9-3 or better and a trip to a conference championship game and bowl...

My guess is the defense is not as good as last year, at least the DBs. I hope the offense more than makes up for it. Granted we do have a redshirt frosh apparently at QB but this system should be comfortable for him and though Romo's performance last year was nice to see after several miserable years at QB, by efficiency standards it was not earth shattering, just average at best.

So going back to my Sagarin analysis, 8-4 is the target and 6-6 to 10-2 is the most likely range.

8-4 should make a bowl with C-USA tie-ins.

As I said, 7-5 would be outstanding and that's my off-the-cuff, way to early prediction. 20 years since the last bowl... that would be a huge step for the program.
