Re: Maybe Pac-12 collapse predictions were premature? It sounds like Oregon and Washington are trying to work a better offer from the BIG. Today's activity is probably a negotitation tactic on their part. Meanwhile, Arizona and ASU are waiting to see if Ore and Wash leave before jumping ship. Arizona and ASU share a board of regents which seems strange.
Re: Maybe Pac-12 collapse predictions were premature?Step away from the computer for a few hours and ... it's mind-numbing how fast and how frequently all of this keeps changing.

Re: Maybe Pac-12 collapse predictions were premature?Just call it the "6-PAC". think of the new t-shirt fans that will flock to retailers to buy that....
We will end up somewhere, someday... stable-boy for the four horsemen of the apocalypse
Re: Maybe Pac-12 collapse predictions were premature?Stick a fork in the PAC. Should be a no-brainer for the remaining 4 corner schools to join Colorado in the Big IX/16 now that Oregon & Washington have bailed. Not sure what the conference rules were regarding exit fees and distribution of earned bball credits, etc... I thought I had read the NCAA requires 6 members who have been together for more than a year to even keep those credits, but we are in unchartered territory now.

Re: Maybe Pac-12 collapse predictions were premature?Let the lawsuits begin. Tampering with 100 year rivalries, and destroying big business conferences
by big media collusion is probably actionable by those left behind ![]() ![]() Especially if they offered more money for defection ![]() Monopoly and oligopoly laws may apply ![]() May the forth be with us.

Got to be invited before they can follow. Not saying they won't -- the last few days have shown that nobody has an accurate crystal ball on this stuff -- but they may or may not have the option to follow. "It's 106 miles to Chicago, we've got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark and we're wearing sunglasses."
... "Hit it."

The crystal ball is on the desk of a television executive who is pulling all of these strings.
