We’re excited to have SMU, as well as Cal and Stanford, join the ACC next year. Very grateful that the Mustangs are foregoing their first seven years of media revenue to make this work. What a great academic (and athletic) fit for the ACC. Pony Up!

Everyone is focusing on football but it is going to be great to compete in basketball in a conference where the fans truly appreciate the game and whose schools have such great traditions. It will take a while for us to get our sea legs but SMU was once a power in SWC basketball and Moody Coliseum is a wonderful place when the crowd is making noise.

First-class, HailToPitt725. Thank you. Got a tall cold one with your name on it on your first trip to Dallas.

You're forgetting that we won a couple of AAC bball championships, and were ranked. Also beat UConn the year they won the national championship. Thanks for the welcome!
May the forth be with us.

I think we beat UConn twice that year.

I can’t wait to make our first trip there. SMU has a beautiful campus and your new stadium renovations look excellent. And, as a KC resident, the fly-in will be pretty straightforward from KCI.

But Danny Hurley is a fine coach. I think he can keep UConn near the top for a long while.

I hope this works out to calm waters and allow the league to revamp and retrench. If cards are played well, there can be 3, not just 2, Major conferences left standing, and the ACC is the 3rd. A full strength ACC can win more National Championships in football than the BT, easily, and can be best in basketball, and a close 2nd best in baseball. The ACC would be the best over-all in all other sports combined.

I’ll likely visit this board again once SMU visits Pittsburgh for the first time- I’ll be happy to help with any recommendations. Also, nice profile picture! Love The Clash.
