Former SMU quarterback Tanner Mordecai had surgery Sunday after breaking his throwing hand against Iowa.

Will he get a 7th season of college football?

He should have a Grad degree by now.

He already played more than 4 games, and I don't know the rules about a medical redshirt.

Either way, he always seemed like a really good guy and played so well for us. Heal up quickly, Tanner.

He won't be eligible for medical redshirt to my knowledge (played 6 games) unless they game the system somehow. I mean...are there actually rules anymore?
