Associated Press (AP) Preseason Top 25

SMU is also a Top 25 fringe team in the AP poll. Like the Coaches Poll released earlier, SMU is #29 based on votes received.

I don't remember SMU ever getting any votes in the preseason Top 25 before. Has that happened even once post-Death Penalty?

Fun to dream. Think this season is going to be a mighty struggle. At best 8 wins.
Just concerned about our depth.

Think 85 was the last season we were pre season Top 25. Went to the desert and lost to
unranked Arizona 28-6. Excepting our pounding of UT, the season was a dissapointment.
