Adios Home Bar...not.

That was by far the crappiest bar I've ever been in, what a dump.

At least Green Elephant had that front porch thing, and the psychadelic murals inside. I hope they do well at their new location.

Game Days have changed over the years. You see we used to play our games off campus (Cotton Bowl) and the tradition was that all the frats and dorms would charter buses to go to the games with beer and libations on the bus. At halftime the SMU student body would disappear to reload on the buses and many times never found their way back into the stadium. Not sure why?? Those were fun events. Now we have on campus football with the Boulevard which is a great improvement, however, many folks enjoy life on the Boulevard so much, they never make it into the game. During the game the main traditions involve Peruna and the Band. After each home game the band gives a concert which is usally worth staying for. Unfortunately, there are few live mascots anymore for Peruna to interact with. Peruna is a miniature shetland pony. When the other team brings a live mascot, somehow Peruna gets a little more into it. Over the years, he's kicked BEVO, killed the Fordham Ram, chased the Baylor bear, tried to mate with Tech's horse. He also has managed to bite numerous cheerleaders on their hindquarters, run through opposing bands at halftime, and leave steaming gifts at TCU.

It's true, the campus and UP are beautiful. The tailgating is easily the best in the state of Texas, and the stadium is very pretty.

It is only April still and I don't need this [deleted] whipping just yet. Though if my son is attempting to annoy everyone in the car(and he is darn good at it) he breaks out Third Down Thunder until he gets his way.

The great thing about college girls on the boulevard is, "I keep getting older and they stay the same age"

I cannot wait till football starts
