From a Clemson fan, congratulations on your first ACC win!
As a bonus: seeing the Seminoles go down in flames this year is a welcome sight to us Tigers.

Your turn next. We’d like to see them near the bottom of the conference by year’s end. Oh I heard Helene hit Clemson. I hope you and your friends are ok.
UNC better keep that Ram away from Peruna

In all honesty, trees are down everywhere, huge 100ft+ trees, and many people don't have power. But that just meant if you wanted to see football, you'd have to do it in person, and probably 70,000 people showed up to do just that last night against Stanford. It was sort of bizarre ahead of the game, as people didn't really show up early to tailgate as we were all operating chainsaws most of the day, but at gametime the stadium got pretty full and we all enjoyed some football and headed home safely.

The entire western area of the Carolinas is in a real mess. The city where I live, Easley, still doesn't have power to the water pumps that supply water from our lake to the treatment plant, so that could become an issue if not resolved soon. Still, I'm about to head to church this morning, unsure if we have power or not, probably like most of us. There's no missing a football game or church in South Carolina! We'll give thanks to the Good Lord there were so few fatalities, and then pull together to help each other out and get back on our feet. I appreciate your concern and welcome prayers for our area.

Our family (me, Mrs CP & our daughter's family) drove to the game from the Charlotte area. We had 5 inches of rain in our area and wind gusts to 50 mph but very little damage other than debris from trees down in some areas and minor flooding. As we got close to Clemson, it was obvious that the upstate of SC had been hit hard because you couldn't find gas or fast food and traffic was far worse than normal. Hotels lost power and the place we had rented to stay last night had no power. Mrs CP and I decided to turn around and head home which worked out well for us because we got to see the start of the Clemson game and then watch the Ponies crush FSU. Daughter's family went to the game and spent a couple hours walking around town and campus but only stayed for the 1st half and drove back home arriving in the early morning hours. They said it was really strange not being able to tailgate as usual.

I can't imagine what people in Florida, S. Georgia and western NC are experiencing right now. Atlanta took a hit and Chimney Rock, NC (Lake Lure area where we have vacationed) was under water and unrecognizable now. My son's in-laws live in Waynesville (west of Asheville) and nobody has heard from them. Communications are a nightmare as cell towers are down in multiple places. We lived in Charleston SC for 22 years and have never experienced a storm of this magnitude.

Clemson fans are among the best I've ever been associated with. It speaks volumes that this Clemson fan came on to congratulate us with everything his family is going through. Announcers were talking about how their hotel had no power and they have been navigating with flashlights. ESPN was advertising for donations to the American Red Cross and we will certainly Pony Up to provide what little help Mrs CP & I can!
