Elijah Roberts got honorable mention?

Tell me votes were cast based on the stat sheet without actually saying votes were cast based on the stat sheet...

That's disgraceful.

True. Homer bias. Nothing online seems to indicate who the “media” voters are, but safe to say there are precious few, or none, from North Texas (or Northern California).

Just use it to feed the “us against the world” narrative.

Respect has to be earned and we are the new guys so beating the ACC's top "brand team" with guys making big plays all over the field will get people's attention.

Ahmad Walker and Ahmaad Moses deserve better than honorable mention
I really shouldn't drink and type.

I agree that SMU has not ‘earned’ the type of respect other ACC teams hold. However, we put a good number of players in the All-Conference Awards. I am particularly happy for our offensive line. Four SMU linemen were mentioned for ALL-Conference: one on the second team, two third team, and one honorable mention. That is four All-Conference mentions for only five positions. I suggest there is only one comparable team. That is Clemson who (according to these honors) would rate slightly higher than us. Earlier this season SMU’s offensive line was chosen for honorable mention in the Joe Moore Award (National Offensive Linemen Award). Only two other ACC offensive lines were chosen: Clemson and Miami. Last year’s ACC line was also impressive. My point, let's not forget how good these guys are and how important they are for SMU’s ongoing success.
