Getting Ghosted by the SMU Ticket Office

Postby Drum Major » Sat May 10, 2025 3:06 pm

I have left multiple messages for a manager to call me back, I'm told I should ask for "Jackie," but I can't seem to get my question/rumor answered. Let's see if you guys have heard anything about this:

I bought tickets last year in the Weber End Zone plaza and sat at each game in the bar-top seats that were open seating. I enjoyed it so much, that I even added an additional ticket to my season tickets for this fall. I am now hearing that a decision has been made to "seize" these free-for-all seats and designate them somehow as assigned seats through the Mustang Club. In what way, I have no idea. But my concern is that it seems a bit disingenuous to allow me to purchase tickets again under the guise of how seating was last year, and then possibly pull the rug out from under us and say, "you can't sit here anymore." I might have made different decisions regarding my ticket purchase had I known that the seating benefits were changing. Furthermore, I paid for a package that is now being reduced and these changes should have been made before people signed on the bottom line to spend bucks assuming they were getting something for the price paid. Does anyone have any insight on this since I can't get the ticket office to answer the questions or return a call????

Sorry for you. I hope that the new management will be better at... meeting expectations.
