SMU's Jeanne Olson, Ed Davidson to receive All-American Football Foundation Awards
Long-time Mustang athletic department staffers to be honored Tuesday night

DALLAS (SMU) - SMU head athletic trainer Jeanne Olson and SMU equipment manager Ed Davidson will receive awards at Tuesday night's All-American Football Foundation banquet to be held at the Hyatt Regency (Union Station) in Dallas.
Olson will be honored by the organization as the Outstanding Athletic Trainer of the Year while Davidson was named the Outstanding Equipment Manager of the Year.
Olson is completing her sixth year as head athletic trainer at SMU. She had served as assistant trainer since 1987 along with Senior Women's Administrator since 1993. She is a member of the National Athletic Trainers' Association, Southwest Athletic Trainers' Association, College and University Athletic Trainers' Association and the American College of Sports Medicine.
Davidson is completing his 13th season at SMU and his 11th as SMU's equipment manager.
He came to SMU in 1993 as the Mustangs' assistant equipment manager and was promoted to his present position after two years. He handles all aspects of athletic equipment including purchasing, fitting and maintenance, as well as transportation of the equipment to road sites. Davidson is a Certified Athletic Equipment Manager and a member of the Athletic Equipment Managers Association.
