I just liked that of the teams that have been ranked #1 TCU has had the longest amount of time since they were #1, which happens to be 1938, FYI.

Not bad considering the past 20 years. We're first in CUSA ahead of UH. And we're waaaaay ahead of Memphis at 98.

From the ol' SWC days, only U.T. & aTm are ahead of SMU in the rankings. Incredible.

The fact that SMU and UVA are side by side speaks volumes about the last 20 years for both schools. Take away the death penalty/Pye and George Welsh, and you might be looking at an 80 point swing in the spread between those two teams.

That's true. Remember, Hayden Fry got fired because his team lost to Virginia Tech in 1972. The good ole boys didn't like that at all.
