All HS all-star games are better than the charades put together by the NFL, NHL, NBA and MLB. The best pro all-star game is the one put on by Major League Soccer, and even that's pretty weak. HS games are much better.

My question is why are there multiple All-Star games in Texas? Doesn't that kinda dilute the pool of "all-stars" to pick from? Because I would assume it would be risky for good DI prospect to play in a game so close to the regular football season, so many don't play in all star games to begin with. Then those that are left have 4 games to pick from. Does that kinda defeat the purpose?

Because there are about 32o-350 division 1A prospects in Texas every year.. Won't hurt nuthin' to give more a chance to play.

All-Star games

The rules state that you can play in one all-star game per month. I know that Brian Ellis, a UT signee, was scheduled to play in this game along with a few others from Big 12 schools that all ended up not showing up at the start of Oil Bowl practices. The THSCA game has now gotten so late in the summer that several players are already on the college campus that they signed to play.
