Looking for a SMU football writer

Postby cusa-fans » Wed Jun 28, 2006 8:14 pm

I run CUSA-fans.com, a Conference USA sports fan site and I am currently working on filling out my staff for the fall. While I have 8 of the 12 teams in C-USA covered, I am still in need of a SMU football correspondent. If anyone is interested please do me a favor and email me at [email protected] and I will get into the specifics.

Writing experience is preferred but not required.

Thank you all for your time and I hope to hear from some of you soon.

Yeah, let your intense negativity and hopelessness dash our dreams each week. I can see it now:

Although the Mustangs upped their record to 5-0, this year's schedule is the weakest ever played by any organized sports team, from elementary school through the pros. Why anyone could excited about that is beyond me....

Well I have heard from a couple of interested potential writers. If anyone else is interested please do not hesitate to email me. This is not a paying position unfortunately and while I am finding that is not a problem with the other C-USA fans I am finding that you have some very well-qualified fans of SMU. I am eager to see what kind of email responses I get back from your guys as both seem to be very experienced writers.

The writers for this site cover the Ponies better than anyone, including the Morning News. These are the guys you should hire, no question.

Well I received emails from several of your die-hard SMU fans and I ae extremely impressed with not only the dedication and love for SMU football but also for the highly-qualified fan base you all have. It would be awesome if one of you great SMU fans would be interested in writing about Tulsa and/or Memphis for me so that then I would have the netire conference covered! :)

Thanks a lot to all of you!

Boy do I feel silly. Turned in my resignation at work and then find out this is a non paying gig. Oh well, guess I need to go back and grovel some.

Yeah, but now I might not have travel money so you may need to bring someone for my other seat.

I wonder where all that ad money goes if it doesn't go to the people providing the content on the website. :D
