Rhett Bomar could be a Bearkat

Article on Rhett Bomar's interest in Sam Houston State. Lots of ifs here, but if he was reinstated by the NCAA and if he choses Sam Houston State, Justin Rodgers could be sacking his butt in our home opener.

I would guess Stoops is making this real difficult for Bomar. I think Stoops has some KSU connection to Patterson and made one call. I would guess he has made several of those calls.

Who knows, Bomar could become the next Josh McClown.
Willis to slot receiver!

From today's DMN: http://www.dallasnews.com/sharedcontent ... 4a273.html

Bomar also said:

•His wife, Suzi, lost her job with an insurance company after the incident "because it would be hard for someone named Bomar to sell insurance in Oklahoma."

I don't care who you are, that's funny.
Just my two cents.

If Rhett Bomar becomes a Sam Houston State Bearkat QB, I am renouncing all ties with my alma mater. Period.

Do you think the next sentence said "prior to the incident she was being paid for selling insurance even when she did not show up for work."

Several Division I quarterbacks have transferred to SHSU and flourished under Whitten, Ferguson and former head coach Ron Randleman at SHSU. Chris Chaloupka transferred from Oklahoma State and was named Southland Conference Player of the Year in 1999 while Whitten was offensive coordinator for Randleman. Ferguson helped guide Josh McCown (SMU) in 2001 and Dustin Long (Texas A&M) in 2004 to SLC Player of the Year honors and into the Division I-AA playoffs.

Long also set an SLC single-season record for passing yards (4,588) and touchdowns (39) en route to leading the Kats into the semifinal round of the playoffs and a No. 4 season-ending ranking, both the best in school history.

I read that and was confused. The statement is from Daddy Bomar, so is he saying Coach Bomar's wife was fired or Rhett Bomar's wife was fired?

It is a poorly written paragraph.

I hope it's not Rhett's wife, she'd probably divorce him now that he's not bringing in the big money anymore...
