Automatic Poinsettia Bowl Bid--How about us?

Postby BRStang » Wed Aug 30, 2006 9:00 am

Without playing a single down, Army has already been invited to the Poinsettia Bowl if it can win 6 games.

San Diego...wouldn't it make more sense to pre-invite NAVY?

I don't know if they are tying themselves to the academies or not. Last year, Navy played in the game.

Winning 6 games will be a tall order for the Black Knights, but this is their easiest schedule in a long time.
Probable losses: Navy, ND, TCU, A&M, Baylor
Toss ups: Tulane, Rice, Ark. State, U Conn, AFA
Probable Wins: VMI, Kent State.

Navy already has a similar deal, I think with the Meineke Car Care Radiators Lube Jobs and More Bowl.
