It is tough to gleen too much from the TT game. What is clear though is that our kicking game is in good shape. In net punting, punt returns, and KO returns we were 29, 10, 18 nationally and 1,1,2 in CUSA. Field goal made and one missed from 49 into a stiff wind. KOs into the end zone. The kicking questions have been answered.
Offense - stat wise - not too good - at least rushing was almost average at #67 of 109 teams having played so far. And #67 was both total and YPC. By comparison UNT was 109 in total and YPC. No sacks allowed!
Also of note was Willis' pass efficiency at 92.48. Not great, but consider that Romo only was 113.24, with experience and more typical opponents he could be there or better.
So still unanswered questions there.
Defense - tough opponent and young D - hard to guage the future is. Even Yoda does not know. At least we were not last in any major category.
It was good (Goode) to see tackles spread around to a lot of new players, 2 TFLs and a sack.
Turnover margin was 0. Tied for #39 nationally. Important as two years ago we were at or near the very bottom.
