Think PB will be waking up to a few "For Sale" signs in his yard tommorow? I sure hope so.

Hmm...Copeland is the one who gave Bennett a contract extension not far after a 0-12 season.

Mike Cavan was fired with 3 or 4 to go...

At this point, firing him might be the best thing for the team, just in the sense that the administration isn't going to put up with the mediocrity any more. Our program is a joke...I work with people who went to D-III schools (ACU, Trinity) that give me crap, and there's not a whole hell of a lot for me to say back to them anymore.
I love SMU but this is making me sick...I keep clinging to the turnaround of the Mavs and hope we can rise again someday, but it's getting harder and harder.

I have begun a revolt. Oh no wait, Bennett did that himself.
I think we ALL knew it after the first season, didn't we? Honestly? How about after the winless season?
It's time to clean house, again.. until we get it RIGHT. We need a Dougherty-caliber hiring. No more settling for defensive coordinators of middle-pack Big 12 teams! Get a motivator, a football genius from a lower conference, or hell, even div 1-aa. someone that is actually going to build a program on results, not broken promises and slick texan [deleted]. someone that has BEEN a head coach!
Is someone going to reserve firecoachbennett.com again ?

Remember that Ramon does not have the talent that TT has and he still hung 24 on us. Sure the punt block is not his but I am sure he can bring the special teams coach with him.

I can't believe someone suggested Flannigan. He has done nothing more at OC than Bennett did at DC.
The ONLY answer is for people to throw in some money to hire a BIG NAME head coach, ala Doherty. Anything else is more Copeland loser mentality.

100% agreed. If we don't get a big name to boost recruiting and morale (team and fan base), then we might as well keep PB.

Phill Bennett is the secret spiritual leader of the Taliban. You heard it first here.
