EmbarrassedWe stink. Hey athletic department, call me when you are serious about competting. I lost a lot of friendly bets on this game. Good luck against Sam Houston. I won't be there. Rather be clipping my toe nails. Selling my ticket for .50 cents. Have fun trying to fill the stadium. And if you are a recruit or a prospect, ask the AD if they are serious about this program. Five years into this program and I have seen diddly-squat. Can I join the TCU bandwagon? They stunk five years ago, and now TCU is a top 25 team. Plus their sports facilties are comparrable to a third world nation. How can that be?
Lets see...
4 student tickets = $40 Gas to Denton = $5 Beer and food = $20 The athletic department owes me $65 and about 8 hours of my time for Saturday's debacle.
well, i think you might be able to value the "true fans" actually, i mean, you could probably round up all 35 or so and take a poll....
Yes, we stink, but for you students, these are your classmates and perhaps you should try and encourage them rather than boycott games. For alums, let the administration know losses to NTSU are unacceptable with your cards and letters and yes, your checkbook. How about Mustang alums start earmarking their donations to the School of Education. That might get us the very necessary PE major that will allow athletes to transfer here without losing a gazillion hours. That will be noticed by the administration when they can't pay Turner's salary because the donations are going to the School of Education.
I agree with EastStang's view on students. Home games are free. In fact, you could spend your entire day on the Boulevard and the game and not pay a dime. So really there's no excuse for students not to be there. I used to gripe about all games not being at night...well boo hoo I just got up earlier to drin...uhh celebrate.
Those students who boycott the games probably wouldn't show up anyway since they filled their quota of one game to "support the team" (ie jump on the bandwagon) . ---------------
