I tried it - it is like the Taco Cabana of burgers. It is still fast food, but better than mcdonalds. A bit greesy. They do have shakes though.
It was (I guess that's the proper tense) on Loop 281 heading over to the oldest of the Walmart Supercenters in town, not far from Longview HS. Close to Ryan's. North side of the road.
On the parking lot of Home Depot next to Johnny Carino's. It is about half a mile east of Longview High School on Loop 281.
I HATE the University of Texas!
any reason why? My usual response is, "making too much money..." but Krystal has a good business model. Perhaps poor franchisee management. Bush library
Very familiar with that area. In the mid-1980s I lived in an apartment complex at the corner of Judson Road and Loop 281. It backed up to LHS. I was living there when the loop was being completed out that direction and the Wal-Mart wasn't even built yet! Is Johnny Cace's Seafood Restaurant still in business? I always thought it was highly overrated. Also, is the Rio Palm Isle (honky-tonk) still there? Man...lots of memories there! ![]()
The building of the REO is still there...so says the sign. But it looks run down. Can't say if it's open or not because I'm not out and about at party time.
