Quote from Stallion "....and that's why SMU is perrenially at the bottom of NCAA and Conference offensive statistics because they have workhorses playing while better athletes are not playing or developing. " Right Coach Stallion... Like I said, Zach probably won't be a glitzy player, but he is a work horse who makes clutch plays when we need them!

Bobby Chase is our leading receiver over the last 2 years and also the back to back team Offensive MVP. Zach Sledge is a great practice player. It always amazes me that "Coach" can't actually see offensive talent. Whether it was ignoring Bobby his sophmore year, Martin last year, or Willis this year our coaching "eye" for offensive talent may need a trip to get some Laser eye surgery.
How was the performance from sledge tonight?...and how was the performance from Chase...hum great? Okay So both players should get some PT. From my perspective they put in sledge because he is an all american blocker at wide reciever and he can throw about an 70 yd touchdown too. What an athlete! Chase did great tonight too! Congrats to both and YOU posters don't ever say Sledge should not be on the field he had his hands in at least 14 points tonight. GO mustangs!!
i agree.... sledge is on the field b/c he's like hines ward... he catches, he blocks, he throws, and he plays special teams... AND HE WAS A WALK ON!!! I love it

He had ZERO catches for ZERO yards and played all Nite long. Threw a great pass-Columbus Givens a former QB could also make that play. I have no problem with him on special teams-but he is a liability at WR.

Of course he did have to catch a lateral before he threw a 75 yard TD.

Stalliong your extactly right lets not give credit to a player for a great play. Heck maybe someone in the stands who used to play quarterback in their pewee league could have made the play. Or maybe we could have pulled you out of the stands to make the catch. Maybe the concessions people could have blocked at offensive line.

Sidebar: that play was shown on Ch. 8 last night during the 10 p.m. sportscast.

He threw to a wide open receiver. I bet there were former QBs in the stands would could have made that throw.
And he didn't not give him credit for the pass - he just said that he isn't the only WR who can throw, and he didn't get any catches all night. Stallion says a lot of things people are justified calling him out on, but it annoys me when people jump on him for every post.
