From now on, right or wrong, Justin will be remembered for this, and it makes me sick to think that this might have been exactly what the "victim" was looking for when he showed up at that apartment last Thursday night.
The really sad part is that when this all blows over and Justin is able to resume his career, the story of how he was exonerated will not lead off the news (and probably won't be on the news at all).
I wish the best for Justin, and hope to see him back in a Mustang uniform soon.
hopefully people will say remember three years ago... yah well that was before we went to 4 straight bowl games, and he goes to the pros... i know wishful thinking

1. The ESPN story said there were 3 players involved, but is Justin the only to get suspended? 2. Posts earlier that stated the compaintent had stated he was going to ruin Justins life. 3. SMU will bow to anyone to save face, so I could see them coming down [deleted] Justin to satisfy the outside influences.
I don't have a good feeling about this, I am afraid this is going to drag on, and Justin's father didn't seem too pleased with the support SMU had given his son. SMU could have messed this one up big time
Actually it said 3 people including Willis. That would be 2 players and the alleged victim. There was a post on a thread yesterday that identified the other player but I am not going to repeat it since I have no proof. He did play in Saturdays game however if it was correct.

Anybody that calls that story anything but an unmitigated disaster is fooling himself.

I'm just irritated Willis gets his name dragged thru the mud, and [Beard?] remains anonymous as "the complaintant".

Goes with the territory when you are a celeb. Listen, nobody is going to remember this crap 12 months from now. I couldn't tell you the name of any of the multitude of players from UT and all the other high profile schools that have been arrested, etc, over the last year. It will be replaced with the most current "Springer" type episode.

I disagree, PK.
It will still be the talk on this site after Willis pursues FB at a school that supports their players.

This site is a world unto itself. Nobody else f'ing cares. And again watch out for the kneejerk reaction...none of us and I mean none of us on this site knows what PB, Copeland, Orsini, Turner or anyone else knew or did in regards to this problem last spring, last month or last week for that matter. The finger pointing and calls for heads to roll are based upon preconceived biases at this time and not facts. (Sentence deleted to be politically correct) And oh by the way, regardless of the provocation, beating the crap out of someone is not the solution. Generally speaking, it just leads to a lot more trouble as is evident in this case.
Just read one of the other posts where they quote a Dallas police report that states that the party was at a football players residence. Being that this occurred in Dallas, I would suspect that the Dallas police responded and had the advantage of questioning the witnesses that were there as opposed to the police report filed with the SMU police later which probably only included the statement from the reported victim. Now if you had been stalking someone for months...what would your version of the incident be?????

FYI - The reporter who did this story teaches a broadcasting journalism class at SMU.
Cheers.
