I've seen victims of stalking who have developed agorophobia (I think that's what its called), the fear of leaving your house. Stalking can have a pretty taxing effect. In reality it is a form of torture, and victims have been known to resort to violence to stop it. There is usually no good end to a stalking situation unless the stalker decides to move on.
