ecu and usm tied at 17. an usm win would help us out.

ECU wins. Looks like SMU will probably need to win 7 to get a bid unless UTEP falls apart. Why do you think an ECU win would help SMU. It won't because its looking more likely that two east teams will get to 6. The east bowls would pick an East team over SMU.

I never said an ECU win would help us. I said a USM win would help because that would mean ECU falls 2 games behind .500.

I say an SMU win over UAB means ECU is headed for the Bham bowl.

What would help SMU is to win the last 4.

The only interesting thing about ECU beating USM is that USM is actually 4-4.

Isn't UTEP 4-4?
There must be 3 or maybe 4 teams in C-USA that are 4-4 with 4 to go...yuck.

Whatever, if we cant win 2 of 4 with 3 straight home games then we don't deserve to be considered anyhow.

Well, my 9-3 is shot, but I'm pulling for winning out. 8-4...8-4...

Who put a burr up PS's rear? What is with all the negative posts? Frogs and SMU must be recruiting some of the same players.

Actually SMU is on a five game home win streak. And last year SMU beat UAB at UAB, UH at UH and only lost to Tulsa by 7 at Tulsa and drilled Rice.

Buck up folks. It should be a fun ride. 8)

True, it's been a long time.

Much longer than 21-10

The answer is 1999. The SJSU game was cancelled (power outage); its date was sandwiched between w's over Fresno State (attended by 8k at the Cotton Bowl) and Rice, and then Cal St-Northridge (another 7k packed the House that Doak Built), and then Tulsa. The streak was broken by the Horny Toads in the last game of the year.

Before that, it was 1997, which had five wins in a row. Utah, Wyoming, Rice, UTEP and Tulsa.

One can see that the Malin thing in 1998 marked a huge blow to Mustang fandom that is probably underrated. The home slate in 1997 had no games attended by fewer than 20k...including Wyoming. The 'scandal' took place in 1998, then we see 1999 have attendances of 7k, 8k, 11k, etc.

Well jt I was certainly born then and remember the CS Northridge game since I locked my keys in my car. Not a clever thing to do at Fair Park.

I waved at BUS as he drove out.

Well, I was wrong, and I'm glad you were alive to see it. Let's all hope we can duplicate that feat in the next four.
