Watching in Houston

Postby 35straight » Mon Oct 30, 2006 12:02 pm

Do any Houston PonyFans want to watch the game somewhere in Houston? Any ideas? There was a thread about this last week, but it kinda fell to the wayside. I guess there are only two PonyFans in Houston.

And apparently one of them is an Aqua Teen fan... "My name is Shake-zoola the mic rulah the old schoolah."

Meatwad makes the money, see. Meatwad gets the honeys, G.

On a related note, I got a chance to see MC Chris in concert recently. Just a great show, and I highly recomend it.

I will now return you to your regularly scheduled discussion of locations in Houston for H-Town Ponies to congregate for the big game.

Hey, I am planning on going out to watch the game. I was thinking of Flying Saucer downtown if they will play it on the big projection screen but I am open to other suggestions.

A group of us used to get Two Rows to put the Ponies on one or two screens in a section where we could watch and order food. I might be able to make it, but my kids come first due to Halloween. Chances are it will be a late night.

Let's do a Houston roll call for future games either basketball or football.

That sounds like a great idea, count me in.

I plan to watch tonight's game at home, but would be interested in meeting up for the UH or Tulsa game (if they are televised).

Sounds like a good idea, but I'll be in Dallas for those games. However I will be frying a big owl for the rice game after Thanksgiving in the parking lot.

I am headed up to Dallas for the UH game but would like to get a group to watch the Tulsa game if others are interested. Count me in as well.

I'm definitely in for the Houston roll call for basketball season. I'll be in Dallas for both UH and Tulsa, but would love to meet up with some other fans to watch Coach Doherty and co. dominate this season.

The other day I met a friend in town at "Big" Woodrow's at Chimney Rock and Richmond for the LSU game vs. Florida. I was blown away by all of the LSU fans there supporting the Tigers. It felt like I was in Baton Rouge. We obviously wouldn't be able to get a turnout like that for SMU events on TV, but it would be pretty awesome to have a local place here where Mustang fans could gather for events. Let's keep brainstorming and figure something out.
