QB-Justin Willis had one TD pass and now has 20 for the season, which is the second-most at SMU (21 by Chuck Hixson in 1968);  His 22 TDs accounted for (20 pass, 2 run) is also the second-most in SMU history – Hixson had 27 TDs in 1968 (21 pass, 6 run); Willis was 18-23-148-1-1 for a 78.3 completion percentage and a 138.0 rating and season total is 140-197-1421-20-4 with a 71.1 completion percentage and a 161.1 rating

RB-DeMyron Martin had 38 rushing yards to pass 1000 for his career (now has 1030)

RB-James Mapps had his second TD run of the season

RB-Cedrick Dorsey’s two-point reception was the first conversion of his career.

LB-Tony Hawkins interception and return for TD were both career firsts

WR-Bobby Chase had four catches for 52 yards. He now has 100 catches to move into 15th on the SMU career list (passed James Whitmore had 99 from 1992-95). Chase has 1520 career receiving yards, which is 11th at SMU (John Hampton had 1485 from 1999-02)

WR-Reynaldo Pellerin had six catches for 35 yards. He now has 83 career receptions to move into 18th at SMU (Anthony Smith had 82 from 1977-80)

TE-Vincent Chase had his first career TD reception

DT-Adrian Haywood’s sack was his third of the season and eight of his career, the forced fumble was his second of the season and fourth of his career

DE-Justin Rogers’ sack was his sixth of the season and 16th of his career. He is one behind Jerry Ball for fourth-most in a career at SMU (Ball had 17 from1983-86)

DE-Corey Muse had one sack and now has four this season and 6.5 in his career




SMU Team Notes

The Mustangs have 23 TD passes on the season, which is a new SMU record (22 in 1990)

The Mustangs two-point conversion was the first since Duke Hasson ran for a conversion against San Jose State in 2004

SMU has won six consecutive home games, the most since a seven game streak over 1981 and 1982

This is the first time SMU has held an opponent without a TD since a 28-0 victory at Hawaii in 1998
