College Football Overdrive reports:

"The Big 10 is just struggling as a conference...8 of its teams have 4 losses as this point..."

By comparison:

The really bad ACC only has 5 teams with 4 or more losses (out of 12 vs. 11 for Big10).

BigEast = 3 of 8
Big12 = 6 of 12
Pac10 = 4 of 10
Sec = 6 of 12

The question is: Just how good is Michigan and Ohio State (I will give OSU props for beating Texas early)?

I mean, neither of these two team have played anyone of consequence since 09/23 (Mich v Wisc; OSU v PSU (if you count 6-4 PSU)).

Also, MWC has 7 of 9 teams with 4 losses at this point - not good.

If you really believe Ohio State and Michigan are overrated, then I can't help that. If you don't want to watch Nov. 18 at the Horseshoe, then you'll miss a pretty decent game.

They both struggled today but found ways to win. Not every win is going to be 56-7.

But every game for Ohio State and Michigan is a game of consequence. That's why they are 1 and 2 in every poll and destined to be playing in BCS games in January.

And the combined record of Ohio State, Michigan and Wisconsin is 29-1. Can any other conference say that? And no the Big Least doesn't count. When Louisville and West Virginia -- the alleged two best teams in the conference -- can actually play defense, I'll believe the vailidity of that league.

For the record, 7 of the 11 Big 10 teams are at .500 or over .500. I wouldn't say that's too bad.

aparently the BCS recognizes the validity of their league when #5 skips over # 4 florida to the 3 spot...
