SMU Historical Stats websites?

Postby Mustang98 » Wed Nov 08, 2006 3:24 pm

Does anyone know a good website that would have historical player statistics for college football? Are there any sites that have box scores from past years? Also, I am trying to find a website that has historical weekly football rankings. I am curious about when was the last time SMU was in the Top 25 on a given week (I am sure in 1985 or 1986 we made the top 25 before the end of those seasons). I'd like to torment myself with past glory at the Hilltop by looking at old rankings and stats.

There is a lot of information to be had at smumustangs.com...go to football, then archives, and a big .pdf document opens up. Year by year scores, attendance at each game, all conference teams, opponents records, and all the other minutia you'd expect.

It wouldn't hurt to call our SID office to see if they sell the media guide. It's about 180 pages. Probably cost $15-20. Plus, you have a keepsake.
