Umm...since when was Rice a non-conference game?

I just assumed that in the post before "we" was referring to SMU and that tcu was scheduling strong non-conference games. Eh...I guess when people say we on here it could mean UT or the Big 10 and not necessarily SMU even though this is an SMU board.

Yeah, you do. Considering that's what Oklahoma, Iowa State, Baylor, and Texas Tech said.
Really? What did BYU and Utah have to say after their games with you? For that matter, what did we have to say after 21-10 last season???
They realized how overly-excercised the Big 12 is.
Yes, Froggie has two 'g's'.

Lets just all wait until this year is over to start talking about next year. TCU will be decent but will have problems with a steady QB I think next year. Playing UT means no BCS next year and has for Renfro, all he has is his last name. The best small WR that I know of is someone by the name of Wes Welker....he worked magic at TT and is having a great year in the pros this year. Renfro will be a project all year but won't be a break out guy until his 3rd year. Sneed will help out the 1st team next year.
And as for our "weak" schedule, I like it. The best way we can get to 6 wins is great and it doesn't matter who we play. As long as we have one tough non CUSA opponent, we will be fine. Next year we'll have Tech and the froggies so what's the big deal...

never said you said that. I just got the vibe from this thread that it was being said we had a weak schedule compared to TCU.

This thread offends me . . . that other school is mentioned way too many times!
Sports, and all that implies.

So.. let's talk next year and our WR's as opposed to TCU.
We've got Sanders and Givens coming back.. pretty solid. My hope is that Phillip Burley emerges.. that kid has the physical talents if he can get up to speed.
What we obtain too cheap.. we esteem too lightly. It is persistence alone that gives everything its value.

If you want to start stopping scheduling weak non-conference games, I suggest you start with UNT and Rice.
Last I checked Rice was a conf foe.. pretty sure they still are...

After the UT game, there will be plenty of injured toads. They'll probably be breaking in a new QB when they play us, the others will be in body casts.

The only similarity between SMU and TCU is we both got into TCU froggie...
