Would you say that figure is accurate, or inflated?

According to NCAAbbs, the announcers on the Rice game estimated "about 5,000"
Kate Hairopolous asked where all the SMU fans were on the BeloBlog earlier...saying it was more dismal than normal.
So, I think both figures are probably inflated.

It really looked like about 14,000-15,000 after about the first quarter started. Everyone shows up late to the game because they drag in from the 'Vard. It still was kinda embarrassing. I want to at least see crowds like we had at the UH game.

The crowd was LOUD and pumping.
The team brought the full can of " WHOOP [deleted] " for the second half.
Great coaching in the second half.
Willis is for REAL.

You'd have to be dead for that team performance not to pump you up. That was beyond awesome.

OK the honest answer is no more than 11,500. Seriously doubt 1/3 of the seats were occupied.

The Mustangs scored 27 consecutive second-half points to erase a 17-point halftime deficit, tying for the third-largest comeback in school history.
