Those of us who are not within a quick drive to Houston may have to choose between flying to HOUSTON to see Rice vs. the Ponies at the last minute when airfares are unbelieveably high or trying to make it to a Bowl game in N.O. or DFW with advance planning (much more affordable).

I would much rather try to get to NO or DFW if that is a possibility.

Back to the original question that Current STUDent asks . . .

ANY possibility of this game being on TV?

I got news for you, I was at the game and the whole stadium thought it was over at the half. When you can't force your opponent to punt the ENTIRE FIRST HALF and you are down by 17 points, it doesn't look good. Sell your "I always have faith" BS elswhere.

GREAT DAY TO BE A MUSTANG!
go look through yesterdays game thread... there was only about 3 of us who didnt give up and jump on the fire PB band wagon! it doesnt matter what the score was in the first half i would have still believed we could come back

maybe KERA or PBS will pick it up. Don't think there would be much interest in two teams that this week each drew about 11,000 to see games in which they became bowl eligible for the first time in a combined 63 years. You know if it was produced just right it might actually attract a certain intrique interest from at least across the state. I love the "Texas Grudge Match No Holds Barred Loser Leaves Texas Main Event Elimination Game" aspect to this game. One team is going to reach a long unobtainable goal and the other will have their hearts torn out again. Man I love it. Let me promote this thing.

Well good for you and your 3 friends, just don't preach to the normal people that had their doubts. Since you live in the Metroplex you should have been at the game.

Maybe I am paying more attention to SMU football nowadays, but despite PB's shortcomings, his teams have certainly drawn more interest these last two years. When was the last time we made an ESPN highlight reel three times in a season? This is about as excited as I have been about SMU football in the last ten years. Beat the hell out of Rice!

Yes, I was down on PB yesterday and did not believe SMU would come back. Man am I glad to have been proven wrong.

I didn't give up, I stayed at the game and got to watch an incredible come back, but I had SERRIOUS doubts in the first half when Tulsa made first downs at will, had only one incomplete pass attempt, and never punted. I have been attending SMU football games since 1978, and the last 20 years of being inept make it normal to have doubts.

BTW, fans giving up VS players and coaches is a poor comparrison.

i think it is an apt comparison. actually quite apt. how many times has this board complained about the players and coaches giving up... well now we have a coach & players who don't give up but fans who do... anyways agree to disagree, im glad you've been supporting the stangs for so long, it's a great week to be an SMU MUSTANG!!
