If we hadn't lost to them, we wouldn't have to worry nearly as much about Rice.
Same goes for UTEP. Same goes for Houston.

Those games weren't "should wins"
We could have beaten UTEP. We could have beaten Houston. We should have beaten UNT.

UNT will remain the one you'd like to "do over". Should be fun with them coming to Ford next year.

Or the Houston game for that matter. They were up by 17 and ended up losing that by 1.

I guess both our programs would like to have Houston as a do-over.

Man you sure can tell how long it's been since SMU had a winner, the fans don't even know how to react. Stop playing the woulda shoulda coulda game as Stallion calls it, WE CONTROL OUR OWN DESTINY!!!!!!
The time for woulda coulda is after the Rice game, and then ONLY IF WE LOSE.

smu in retrospect SHOULD have beaten UTEP (they are horrible and Willis was benched)
smu COULD have beaten HOUSTON
smu was never in the game against ECU or TECH

This thread does no one any good. Look ahead. Looking behind doesn't get you anywhere. We deserved to lose the UNT game because we weren't ready to play.
We didn't finish the UTEP game because we didn't have our QB -- right or wrong, that was Justin's fault. But let's not get into that.
And Rice hammered Army this year at West Point. Maybe their do-over game was the one the let get away from Houston, 31-30.

or the UAB game where UAB intercepted their ball to win the game...but the kid fumbled it back to Rice.

I agree with big eleven fan. I think I'll go lie down now and put a cold compress on my head.
