Orsini Blog Update

Do you know what I take from Orsini's blog entry? Nothing. The same goes for you. Half of us will be proven idiots and the other half geniuses for reading the tea leaves correctly. The reality is this blog gives no indication either way.

ding ding ding... thats why this is so pointless when people say PB is gone for sure, or PB is coming back for sure.... NOBODY on here knows what is going to happen!

No one knows for sure, but its fun to speculate!

Knowing what Orsini did at UCF and what happened with our basketball team, mark me down as he is going to fire Phil...I have no inside information, its just my feeling of what is going to happen and I expect the announcement by the end of the week.

While I've argued in favor of retaining Phil. Here's hoping he does the best thing for SMU! Whatever that may be.

Not much insight, but here is KGB's blog entry from this afternoon:

Orsini's blog
SMU director of athletics Steve Orsini says in his latest blog that people are reading too much into his end-of-year meetings with football coach Phil Bennett. He emphasizes that Bennett is still SMU's coach.

It's great that Orsini can use his blog to get his message out there. But until he says that Bennett is coming back next year, I doubt it will do much to stop the speculation.
