Sez here the Buckeyes started a three-year probation back in the spring. Must have been a killer penalty.

I guess the big boys don't lose bowl appearances. Sez here the Buckeyes started a three-year probation back in the spring. Must have been a killer penalty.
Many if not most probations do not include any bowl or NCAA appearance sanctions. If they had been in serious violation in this latest event it could have posed a problem for OSU, but even those that despise OSU should not find much wrong with this "violation". Travel expenses are high and just because you are a parent of a good athlete it does not mean you have a lot of money. I am kind of impressed they were having the fund raiser. It would have been much more suspicous if all the parents had been able to travel without any transparent outside help. That is when you can start wondering where the money came from.
