What a huge loss. Got to hear him a couple of times on ESPN radio, and you could tell he was a genuinely good guy in addition to being a standout player.

Thoughts and prayers to his family and friends.
Here's to those that wish us well and all the rest can go to hell!!!

This is obviously big news here in Denver and I am still in such shock. Darrent was also a native of Fort Worth. Being that he was lined up opposite of Champ Bailey, Darrent was constantly picked on by teams and sometimes caught heat from fans and the media, but always took the criticism in stride and never let it bother him. He was already a great player and was definitely on his way of becoming an outstanding one. More so however, as Mountain Mustang said, you could tell that he was even better as a person. What a tragic, senseless loss.

My thoughts and prayers go out to his family and friends, as well.

this is a huge tragedy, very very sad. By all accounts Darrent was a good young man.
But there's a reason Bill Parcells, for one, tells his players to steer clear of nightclubs. There are many things that can happen at, and after nightclubs, and they are all bad.

Keith Davis (Sam Houston State) of the Dallas Cowboys knows all about such things.

My thoughts and prayers go out to Darrent Williams' family, friends and teammates. A tragic loss for all Denver Broncos fans and professional football.

The sad thing is you would think that Davis would have learned from the first time he was shot in 2003. This is a terrible tragedy for the Broncos and for the NFL. My prayers and heart go out to his family and his 2 young children.

you're right. Keith Davis did it again, and made up some bs about coming back from church. The first time we'll give you the benefit of the doubt. Fine, you were picking up a friend. The second time you should be cut FOR GOOD this time. Keith Davis got shot not once, but on two different occasions. Talk about lucky to be alive...
