Letterman Golf Tournament

Postby BUS » Mon Apr 02, 2007 9:39 am

Last Friday Phil Bennett had his Lettermans Golf Tournament again at Oak Cliff Country Club. After all the rain the course was in good shape, other than the fact that you got no roll out of your shot.

I would guess there were around 120 golfers due to the 17 A and 17B teams. The winnig score was 17 under by some flat bellied young alumni guys. By that point in the day I could not remember their names. Door prizes and raffles were held to raise money with most people going home with a prize. Last year I got a stay at the new Palamar and a voucher for the resturant there.

If you like golf and like to talk some serious football with the coaches and old, slumped over, arthritic SMU players come on out next year. It's a blast.

Thanks Coach and Thanks Sandra G.

They were in front of me, and all of them were in the woods. I wonder how they got 12 under.

Go Figure. Mrydel, you would like this day out.
Maybe next year???

I think I will be there next year. I am missing too much fun. I was going to come this year but some other issues arose and I had to bail out.

He probably thought you were in his group since you were standing by the tee every time he finally got around to hitting the ball. :D
