So you attended a game with a sane man?
not that there's anything wrong with that

Amen. I hate to go to the stadium early because of that. Could someone tell me what demographic that caters to? (sorry about that preposition) It couldn't be students because the few that show up don't do so until the end of the first quarter.

worse than a sane man-I attended with an former Aggie girlfriend during the early 1990's Cotton Bowl Game. You should have seen me humpin' it! Whoop! (I only "hump it" on rare occassions in honor of my Cousin Ted Winn who in 1922 scored what turned out to be the winning touchdown on something like a 45 yard fumble return in the famous 1922 Texas A&M v. Centre College Classic played at Fair Park Stadium which was the day the famous 12th Man Tradition was born).

SC plays Fight On after almost every play. Opposing teams generally don't appreciate it since it's repetitive and gets stuck in your head. The great [[deleted]] Lou Holtz threw a fit about it after one of the games at the Coliseum because he's a whiny baby. To this day he dislikes "Sssutthuurn Caall."
The TMB actually stops playing before the ball snaps though regardless of who's on offense or defense. Did I mention Lou Holtz is a [deleted]?
Lou Holtz = [deleted]
GO MUSTANGS!

All this said, there have been a number of times over the past couple of years when the band could have been playing something, but either decided not to, or were not ready to be proactive and took a long time getting instruments in hand and music up and kicked off by the drum major.
This has got to stop too, and there are no rules to blame.

If there was a moratorium on airing concerns on this board there would be no board.
