Is this raw wins/losses or weighted for tenure, lifetime wins, etc.?
'Cause in my mind, Peterson (Boise State) & June Jones (Hawaii) are better coaches than Patterson. Not knocking the guy, because I realize that the difference between #1 & #7 may be minute, but I think those two are better.

I love what Paul Johnson has accomplished with Navy. Through innovation and cheesecake scheduling Navy has consistantly put up wins even though they are hamstrung by recruit disinterest and (more importnatly) Navy Physical Rediness standards.

Salary of Head Coach at Soutlake Carrol = $90,000-100,000/yr.

Dodge's deal at UNT = $2 million for 4 years, doesn't have to move, youngest can stay in same school until graduates

and he get's to beat the hell out of SMU...

You do the math

I don't see any reason North Texas can't dominate that conference. That's not a graveyard job. SMU on the other hand can't dominate the sunnyside of the .500 mark in 4 conferences largely because its model has not been competitive with its top opponents in whatever league it found itself in. That's the definition of a graveyard job. Success in football is relative to your competition.

Regardless of the relevance and accuracy of your comments, you sound kind of like the teachers in Peanuts.
