Judging from the photos I've seen it is very impressive.
It should be a definite plus for their recruiting efforts.

I saw it a couple of months ago and it appeared to be taking shape rather nicely.

Don't think they will be practicing hang time on their punts in that place.

That would have been an extra 12$ mil..., a ridiculous amount for just punting.

That's alright...punters don't do much else, so just put them outside where they can practice in the realities of wind, rain and freezing cold.
I really don't understand the need for indoor practice facilities. It's like having firefighters practice their skills with virtual fires or something and then have to fight a real hotter than hell roaring fire...it just isn't the same. Practice football in doors in perfect conditions and wind up with a bunch of wimps when they have to play in the great out doors...where football belongs. I miss the games where the players leave the field covered in mud and grass stains.

You and me both. If you're gonna play in weather conditions, practice in them.
But honestly, I've heard that Gary isn't going to use it that much. I haven't heard it from him, personally, but I did hear it from someone on his staff.

So it's nothing more than a conversation starter with recruits? Clever!

That's the idea--I mean, of course we'll use it. But, Coach Patterson knows all to well the disadvantages of using it.

My dream is that it rains the entire week of the game with TCU. We practice in the rain, and they practice in their gym and then we have a good rainy day to play in. They fumble often and throw a ton of picks. We exercise great discipline and win in a laugher. I just pinched myself and the dream ended.
